News Update
I just noticed that we have finally made the first page of Google results when you type in "Dojo of Pain." You can look at this two ways: (1) we have been on a rocket-like trajectory up the rankings from a couple months ago, when we languished on the 7th or 8th page, or (2) we are still number 5 behind several pages devoted to a viral marketing campaign for a video game.
Tuesday Workout Results / Wednesday Easy Run
Speedwork Tuesdays continued this morning at Hains Point, with PJ, Geoff, Alan, Richard, Pruitt, and me. 3 X 2 miles for most (with PJ and Geoff allegedly stomping down some serious 5:40's), 6 X 1 mile for Pruitt and me (Pruitt clicking off some easy 5:04's, and me trying to lose less than 3 seconds a quarter for some 5:18-20's).
Wednesday, Alan is leading an easy 8-9 mile run through Georgetown, leaving 12th and Penn at 6:50 am.

Race Results: LA Marathon
Today on the left coast, the Dojo's own Brian Savitch threw down an impressive 2:48:40 in the LA Marathon. Now that's one heck of a training run! B-sizzle looks ready and raring to unleash the beast in Boston next month. Go Dojo!
And just for fun, here's a video of Brian's finish:

Tempo Madness
On this most excellent day of green beer and busted brackets, a motley pack of Dojo disciples joined forces for the longest -- and best -- tempo workout yet this spring. Strong, smooth, and surprisingly controlled. Work ain't hard, people!

Race Report: St. Patrick's Day 8K
Four Dojo runners competed yesterday in the St. Patrick's Day 8K. With the starting line a stone's throw away from Dojo headquarters -- decorated for the occasion by one of the Dojo's many admirers (see photo) -- Team Dojo took to the streets to defend its turf. And defend it they did: all four runners posted strong performances, with less than a minute separating the Dojo finishers. GK led the way at 27:55, followed in short order by P-Jizzle, Sir Wigglesworth, and Brian "the Fireman" Savitch. A solid day of racing by the men in black!
