NYC / Marine Corps / Rock Creek Relay / and much more

LOTS and lots of results to catch up on, from Dojo folks and friends of the club:

Let's start with the New York City Marathon earlier today. Our own Taylor Williamson was on hand, running 2:55:55. Way to go Taylor!

MCM
Lots of folks put up some great results at MCM:
Jeff Redfern - 2:37:39 - 23rd overall!
Miles Aitken - 2:45:31 - 35th overall! (AND weaved his way through the entire field, after getting caught in the crazy security line situation)
Rick Jennings - 2:46:29 - 38th overall!
Paul Karlsen - 2:51:54 - 56th overall!

Walk to End HIV 5k (it started as a walk, but then the detente clearly dissolved and everyone made a mad dash for the line)
Lisa Swartzfager - 19:40 - 2nd Woman
Henry Wigglesworth - 17:33 - 4th Overall

Rock Creek Relay-
In the inaugural Rock Creek Relay, the Dojo team overcame injury, winning the open men's division in 3:01 and finishing second overall. Congrats to the squad, which included Chris Pruitt making his injury return. Chris basically came off the couch to run 5:40s, which is just mind-blowing. Huge congrats to the team included: Josh Sohn, Alan Pemberton, Laura Jennings, Brian Savitch, and Shlomo Fishman.

Paws2Care 5k
Tom Agnello wins the Paws2Care 5k in Arlington on October 24. Tom runs 19:27 to win by 10 seconds. Congrats Tom!

Chicago Marathon, Oct. 11
Robert Gillanders, physical therapy guru, 3:08.25

Army 10 Miler

Alan Pemberton cruises to a 69:09 at the Army Ten Miler!
Steph Selmer puts up a very impressive 66:20! Laura Jennings almost chases down AP with a 69:52!

Feet in the Street 5k
Josh Sohn checks in with a 3rd place finish at Feet in the Street, with a 17:45!
Lisa Swartzfager runs 21:23, for 2nd among all women!

Navy Mile
Alan Pemberton and Henry Wigglesworth show off their speed at a blustery Navy Mile. Alan comes in second for his age group, running 5:48.  Henry wins his age group with a 5:24.

Clarendon Day 5k
Alan runs a 19:09 5k, winning his age group by about 4 minutes!

Navy Air Force Half
Way back in September (I've been terrible about updates!), folks ran some awesome races at the Navy Air Force Half:
Jeff Redfern - 1:14:31 (new entry in the club records!) - 15th overall
Chris Higby - 1:17:54 - SUPER impressive gains by Chris Higby over the past season!

Parks Half Marathon, Sept. 13, 2015
Laura Jennings: 1:32:57

If I missed any results, it is truly due to incompetence and not indifference!
