Shawn's Victory Photo
I happened to find a portrait of this cool dude gracing the front page of the Annapolis Striders website:

Club Records
This past weekend, the Dojo's Chris Pruitt scored possibly the most impressive result ever for the club when he took second place at the Baltimore Half Marathon, in 1:12:35, on a course that is hardly a race-track. Rumor has it that Chris closed the race with a 5:08 mile.
Anyway, in light of Pruitt's performance, we are opening up a "Club Records" section, highlighting the top performances run in a Dojo singlet across race distances.
Send in your top times, and we'll start updating!

Weekend Results
Brussels Marathon:
HUGE congratulations to Matthew Newman, for knocking out a big PR and a Boston qualifier this weekend at the Brussels Marathon. Matthew was an absolute trooper in workouts this past season, and all the hard work paid off big time with a 3:14:15, 45 seconds under the qualifying cutoff.
Hard to do the performance justice, so here is a link to Matthew's riveting account:

Metric Marathon:
Also this weekend was the Annapolis Metric Marathon (26.2K), a great opportunity to get in the dreaded simulator workout. There was a 1-2 Dojo sweep at the top. Shawn absolutely crushed a 5:44/mile pace through the 26.2 kilometers, in his first ever race over a half marathon. He also had the good grace to drag me along in his slipstream. Results posted here:
